In the course of a building renovation at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, the slide library of the art history department was dissolved. The slide library was an archive that had grown over decades and had its own specialist staff. During the clearance work, the slide library, which was already in an unsorted and loose state, was saved from disposal. The work "Battery" contains slide films from the collection, packed in filled boxes and only recognisable in the top layer.
