In 2013, I transported the parts of an old shed that had stood in my grandparents' garden for over 90 years to Offenbach. The shed was used for different purposes over three generations. Each family member associates different things and memories with this place. In my childhood, the shed was already dilapidated and ramshackle, and its overgrown rooms impressed me. With this connection to the material, the shed was rebuilt in Offenbach as a reminiscent retreat in the urban environment.
